Doctor Octopus, Master Planner
Mythic · Legendary Creature — Human Scientist Villain
8.0Very goodRank 12 of 188
One of the very best mythics of the format (8.0/10).
Why. A 4/8 that draws you up to eight cards at each of your end steps: it refills your hand and wins almost any game it survives. It also gives your other Villains +2/+2.
Risks. Seven mana across two colours is very heavy, and you have to survive until then. If the opponent kills or exiles it, you spent a whole turn for nothing. You need Villains for the bonus.
In the draft. A finisher for a slow blue-black deck with good blockers and removal. A solid mid-to-high pick; play one copy and make sure you have enough lands.
