Origin of Spider-Man

Rare · Enchantment — Saga

Pick rating

8.7BombRank 6 of 188

One of the 10 best cards of the set (8.7/10).

Why. Three chapters for two mana: a 2/1 Spider token with reach, a +1/+1 counter that also makes a creature a legendary Spider Hero, then double strike for a turn. You get a body right away and an attack finisher later.

Risks. It does nothing powerful before the third chapter, which needs a good creature to attack with. The Saga is then sacrificed; the token and the counter are the lasting gains.

In the draft. An excellent white pick: a good token early and a good attack later. It pushes your Spiders and legendary creatures; play it on turn two or three so chapter three lines up with a big attack.
