Why. A fixing land: tap and sacrifice it to fetch any basic land, which enters tapped. It smooths your colors and thins your library a little.
Risks. It makes no mana while it sits on the battlefield and the fetched land enters tapped, a real tempo cost. In a well-built two-color deck it adds little.
In the draft. Take it late, for a splash or three-color deck. It should never take the place of a real playable.
