Fateful Discovery

Mythic · Enchantment

Pick rating

5.4PlayableRank 102 of 188

A solid playable that rarely gets cut (5.4/10).

Why. Repeated card draw as soon as you control artifacts: every artifact that enters the battlefield gives you a card. In a deck that produces lots of artifacts, it's a continuous card engine.

Risks. It does nothing on its own, costs five mana (two of them blue, UU) and has no effect on the immediate game. You need lots of artifacts to make it worthwhile, and you want it in play early; late in the game, it's too slow.

In the draft. An artifact gamble, not a card to take for itself. Only play it if your deck already has lots of them; otherwise it's a dead enchantment.
