Why. A 2/3 for three that taps for one mana of any colour: it fixes and ramps. For three mana it can also put a +1/+1 counter on a Spider, at sorcery speed.
Risks. It taps for mana, so it does not block well. Without Spiders, its second ability does nothing.
In the draft. A decent green fixer for a three-colour deck or a splash. Take it when you need mana, not before.
