Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor
Rare · Legendary Creature — Human Scientist Villain
4.8WeakRank 138 of 188
A solid playable that rarely gets cut (4.8/10).
Why. For one mana she gets an ingenuity counter whenever you draw your first or second card each turn, then casts an artifact from your hand for free if its mana value is at most her counters. In an artifact-heavy deck she saves a lot of mana.
Risks. She does nothing without artifacts in hand, and you need a good number of them. A 0/2 that taps does not block, and the counters take several turns to build up.
In the draft. Only in a blue deck that already has several expensive artifacts; otherwise leave her. A build-around, not a first pick.
