Norman Osborn // Green Goblin
Mythic · Legendary Creature — Human Scientist Villain // Legendary Creature — Goblin Human Villain
9.2BombRank 2 of 188
One of the 3 best cards of the set (9.2/10).
Why. A two-mana creature that cannot be blocked and connives on every hit, filtering your hand and growing if you discard a nonland card. Transformed, it flies, has menace, makes graveyard spells cheaper and gives every nonland card Mayhem.
Risks. It is tiny and dies to anything. Transforming costs four mana at sorcery speed and needs three colours, blue, black and red. Without that you simply have a small, efficient blue creature.
In the draft. A great early pick even if you never reach all three colours: the front face is already good in blue. It shines in a discard-based deck that can actually go after the transformation.
